Judith Coe

Judith Harrell Coe, 86, a longtime Martinsville resident, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 30, 2026, with loved ones at her side. She was the eldest of four children born to the late William and Ernestine (Trotter) Harrell. Judith was born on Tuesday, July 30, 1940, in Columbus, Indiana.A proud graduate of Martinsville High School with the Class of 1958. Judith was a dedicated homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose life was filled with family, cherished memories, and simple pleasures. She also worked several years as a secretary, and for Ralph Lett Attorney in Mooresville, Harman International, and Coffin & Coffin Attorneys, both in Martinsville. She was a member of the Martinsville Baptist Tabernacle Church.Judith had a beautiful smile that was often admired and remembered by those who met her. She found joy in sewing, fishing and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s recitals and celebrating their accomplishments. The memories she created with those she loved will remain a cherished part of her legacy.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett M. Coe; her sister, Sandra “Sandy” Moore; her grandson, Troy Hamilton; and her stepson, Barry Coe.She is survived by her children; her brothers, William B. and Robert L. Harrell; and many beloved nieces and nephews.Judith was the proud mother of four children, Michael Mundy (Tina), Mark Mundy (Quita) and Adrianne Rae Floyd (Jeff), and Shannon Purdie (James). She was blessed with twelve grandchildren: Trent Mundy (Makayla), Michelle McMahon (Patrick), Rachel Sneed (Tyler), Matthew Mundy, Jesse and Zach Prince, Levi and Lucas Floyd, Jeffrey Hamilton (Taylor), Justin and Troy Hamilton and Elijah Maverick (Kirsten) and 15 great grandchildren, Ella, Kate, Emery, Taylor, Finn, Kessa, Finneas, Bennett, Evie, Titus, Aurora, Tobias, Egan, Camden and Everett.Generations of Judith’s family will carry her memory forward.Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. Pastor Jeff Floyd will officiate a service celebrating her life on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Desert Rose, c/o Neal & Summers Mortuary, 110 E. Poston Rd., Martinsville, IN 46151.
